The Monumental Task
Everyone produces waste. What happens to your rubbish and recycling?
Life in Vietnam as NZ Trade Commissioner/Consul General
Gillian will talk about New Zealand’s Antarctic Research, in particular, the government funded Antarctic Science Platform which supports science to understand Antarctica’s impact on the global earth system and climate change.
Sculptor of the Taurapa steel sculpture on the banks of the Maitai River, Maia will discuss aspects involved in the production of public artwork, from politics and process, the planning and practicalities, Treaty partnership and Contemporised Maori Art, through to 'Art' and it's function in this ever changing world.
Tasman District Council waste manager David will enlighten and inform you about how waste planning happens, both regionally and nationally, and how our region collects, recycles and disposes of rubbish and recyclables.
Former Consul General and Trade Commissioner for New Zealand in Vietnam Graham shares his story of time based in Hồ Chi Minh City working for NZ in both these roles.
